The Cherokee Chapter of National Honor Society at Tahlequah High School hosted the Oklahoma Association of National Honor Society Leadership Conference on October 24 and 25. Schools from across the state traveled to THS to receive leadership training and participate in team building activities.
Students were treated to local leader presentations in breakout sessions. Dr. Betz, Mayor Purdy, and Dr. Goodsell were present to welcome students to Tahlequah. Tahlequah High School’s chapter received the “Chapter of the Year” award and $1,000 for its dedication to special projects throughout the year. Our conference project was “Special Olympics Chain of Love”. All schools participated in selling links to their chains. The $742.00 collected will be donated to Special Olympics.
THS NHS appreciates all the outstanding support given to them by local businesses and individuals who donated to make this huge undertaking a roaring success. Thank you.
