In case you didn’t hear, over Christmas Break the THS Band traveled to San Diego, California, to the Bridgepoint Hoiday Bowl National Marching Band Contest and Won!!!

We marched in front of 60,000+ people at Quallcom Stadium and 100,000+ including TV audiences at the Big Bay Balloon Parade.  The kids represented Tahlequah well!!! Thank you to all who supported us.

A special thanks to Dr. Goosdsell and Coach Spears who drove for us.  We have a wonderful group of administration, kids and parents who make trips like this happen.  Thanks for everything!!!

If you see a THS Band Student, please let them know how proud we are of them!

Sincerely,

Josh Allen & Justin Frazier

The Tahlequah High School will be having a John Phillip Sousa concert on Monday, March 7th. There will be free admission how could you argue with something like that? A free performance of John Phillip Sousa’s greatest works is a must! Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our own senior Brianna Rountree for making the All-State band! Students from all across the state compete to be a part of this band, and this year she made sixth chair flute. She’ll be going to rehearsals this week to prepare for the performance Saturday.

Solo and ensemble competition is also coming up soon, as well as our John Phillip Sousa concert; so be on the look out for more information here!
